Sunday at the hospital ED

Hello all,

Well, today I have actually had a chance to crochet more of my throw rug. I was sitting at the hospital for nearly 2 hours with my son who had hurt his foot. The foot is okay but for some bruising, but he is to stay off it for a week. The throw rug? Well I managed to rocket in at least 4 rows of crochet, that is about 4 inches. I will not get the opportunity today to crochet anymore, but I am glad that the opportunity has arisen for me to crochet two days in a row. I will post another pic when it is finished. More trips to the hospital, although not pleasant, highly recommended for getting handiwork done. LOL

Have a good day all
Dianne

My throw rug

This is my crocheted throw rug, in the making.

A Relaxing Afternoon

Hello friends,

Today was nice and sunny and a great day to be out or go out. So I decided to go out. I went to Spotlight's Knitting Party. I crocheted a few rows on my throw rug and I also knitted 1 & 1/4 squares for a charity blanket. It was nice to chat and sit and exchange ideas and knowledge. I will do it again.

I thought I might put a picture of my throw rug up for you to see that it is real. It's slow going, but it will get finished soon.

I hope you all have had a lovely day as well..

A Lovely Day

Hello today
The sun has been shining and its seemed like its been quite quiet today, especially for a Friday. I had a very casual day, going to The Community House down the road for a cuppa and chat. We usually have craft to do, but this morning there was a meltdown with glue, so we made Anzacs instead. I found a fellow parent of and Autistic child...needless to say we had plenty to chat about. We have called ourselves 'Beautiful Ladies'. Now that it is school holidays, our morning cuppa's will be postponed until school term resumes in a couple of weeks. I am going to think up some ideas of what we can do on our mornings to bring relaxation, companionship and 'girl time' to us all. Anything we can do while we chat of course is the course we shall take. Looking forward to making some friends that I can actually touch (if they dont mind and if I want to of course). By that I mean, someone sitting in the same room, sharing the same kettle water and same activity that is flesh and blood, not in cyber space. By that also, I do not mean that I do not appreciate my cyber friends. I do appreciate every one of them, with their loving words of encouragement and caring. I am blessed having my cyber friends.
On that note, I shall sign off for the day and enjoy the quiet while the older ones in my family have gone camping for a few days and Patrick and I can have fun together. Organizing my house and sewing are both on the menu for the next few days...Cheers all and have a lovely day.

My first Post

Today is my first day of my new blog. YAY!!!!
I am writing large so I don't have to squint to read it.
My first achievement is making this blog today!!
So let's see how my blogging goes over the next few weeks while I settle into my new home.

A little about me.....
I'm cheeky, feeling my age but not necessarily acting it.
I love to sew, particularly patchwork and quilting.
With my new home, I shall be making lots of things..FUN!!
I tend to waffle on, so excuse my dribblings...Last time I apologise for it. LOL
I live in my new home with my son Patrick and my daughter Kimberly. Patrick prefers to be called Pat and Kimberly prefers to called Kim or Kimmi. I call her Kimmi.
Kimmi is a lot of fun, quirky and quite cheeky.
Pat is a lot of fun, but has his serious side poking out quite often. He is also cheeky and he loves his mum.
As of this date: 7th April 2011, Pat is 13 years old and Kimmi is 23 years old.
I also have another daughter, 26 years old, Meghann and she has an almost 6 year old daughter, Amber. I see them several times a year because they live an hour and a quarter drive away.
I love gardening, especially vegies and iris's.
I like to knit and crochet in the cooler months of the year.
I need to eat food that has not been affected by chemicals such as pesticides and I have an intolerance to wheat and yeast.
I have several skills, one of them is on computer. My next challenge for computer work is a website...wonder how that will go?
I love beading and making jewellery and I am currently making jewellery to sell.
I like a lot more things, but I will add them as I visit my Dribblings each day/week/month.
I would love to visit daily, but that is not a guarantee, so I'm not promising anything.
I hope you enjoy my blog and thankyou for visiting. Please follow me and be my friend..I like having friends who have similar interests of course, but who also can interest me in other things in life..I am interested in what you have to say and think and feel.
Enjoy and have a good day...Di
